Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor

CEO and Clinical Director

I founded We Rise Therapy & Wellness to create the kind of space I wish existed when I was growing up — a space where South Asian, East Asian, and first- and second-generation women could speak openly about their mental health, identities, relationships, and the intergenerational cycles they’re working to heal.

As a second-generation South Asian woman, daughter of immigrants, and mother, I understand the tension between cultural expectations and personal needs. These lived experiences inform the way I show up with clients: grounded, warm, culturally attuned, and deeply understanding of the emotional complexity women of color navigate across different seasons of life.

I support women in their 20s–40s as they move through anxiety, trauma, cultural and family stress, identity concerns, burnout, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I have a particular passion for working with cycle breakers — women committed to rewriting long-standing patterns and creating healthier emotional legacies for themselves and their families.

My therapeutic work is trauma-informed and deeply relational. I incorporate EMDR and trauma-focused approaches to help clients process past experiences, regulate their nervous system, and move toward more grounded, aligned versions of themselves. I believe therapy should feel human, culturally aware, and empowering — a place where you feel safe enough to expand, heal, and grow.

Beyond my clinical work, I am a committed advocate and educator. I’ve been featured in ELLE Magazine, Rescripted, and NJ Spotlight News, and was recognized as a “40 Under 40 Wellness Trailblazer” by Newspaper Media Group. I developed and recorded a South Asian Mental Health training course for the New Jersey Hospital Association, and I frequently speak for ERGs, nonprofits, and organizations on topics including workplace wellness, emotional wellbeing, identity, belonging, and psychological safety.

My professional background spans nonprofit organizations, inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, corporate clinical care, and substance-use treatment — experience that allows me to bring both depth and practical insight to my work with clients.

As an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), I also offer culturally responsive supervision to LACs who want to strengthen their clinical skills, deepen their cultural humility, and grow with confidence as emerging clinicians.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Loyola University Chicago and my Master’s in Clinical Counseling at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. I am licensed in New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

If you’re seeking a space that truly understands your culture, your story, and your desire to rise — you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to support you every step of the wa
