Neha Darji, MS, LPC (she, her)

Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor

“Change is uncomfortable, and being stuck is uncomfortable, together we will work on transforming the discomfort into growth”

Neha founded We Rise Therapy and Wellness after seeing the lack of awareness, the stigma and the need for more South Asian therapists. She sought out to create a practice that provides inclusive, culturally sensitive and evidence based therapeutic services for South/East Asian and BIPOC women and their families. Being a second-generation, South Asian woman of color, daughter of immigrants and mother, Neha is able to easily relate to the challenges that face women of minority backgrounds face through all stages of life. She is passionate about working with women of color in their 20’s-40’s to identify ways they can develop coping strategies, enact positive change, and enhance their inner strengths while working on being “cycle breakers” by healing from intergenerational trauma. She also has a special interest in infertility, perinatal and postpartum mental health and is currently enrolled in a certification program.

Neha’s calm, professional demeanor and warm approach allow her to establish meaningful relationships and build a strong foundation of trust with her clients.   In addition, she is a strong advocate in her community and participates in panels, sponsorships, speaking engagements, trainings, workshops and more.

Neha has many years of experience working with women of all different backgrounds in various settings. She has worked in non-profits, inpatient mental health, corporate clinical care management, outpatient mental health, in-home, and substance use settings. These experiences give Neha credibility and confidence in her counseling skills and abilities. She has also received the Krista Szabo Scholarship Award for her commitment to cultural competency, and featured in major online publications such as ELLE and Rescripted.

Neha completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Bioethics at Loyola University Chicago. She received her Master of Science in Psychology: Clinical Counseling at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. She is licensed in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor and involved in the New Jersey Counseling Association and Postpartum International.
